Reuse it, feed your plants

 




Once the compost is created, you can store it in sacs or a big container where it stays dry to be used whenever you need it. As I have mentioned in the previous post, it is a great source full of nutrients to feed your garden. There are several ways of using it. However, the main one is to mix it with your regular garden soil to give this extra good to your plants.

 

What else can it be used for?

 

Use it as soil to plant new seeds.

Compost can be used as a regular soil where you can plant flowers or vegetable seeds. The plant would grow stronger and healthier because it has this extra bonus of nutrients coming from the decomposition of your organic scraps.

 

Soil conditioner.

Compost improves the condition of the soil. It improves the fluffiness and texture of your earth, which makes your plants more productive and more resistant to disease. It is like medicine for your garden ground. 

 

Added on top of your existence flowers and veggies.

By adding a bit amount of compost to your flowers and veggies in your garden, you will give them the extra nutrients that they need to grow stronger. A simple gesture can make a beautiful garden.

 

The key to using compost in your garden is to keep close to the root of your plants or new plants for them to take all the good benefits this material provides. Keep it saved and use it when there is a need.
